Gianna Van Winkle has been working with New York’s community health centers since 2014 when she joined CHCANYS. Prior to her relocation to New York, she held the position of Director of Regulatory Services at a Federally Qualified Community Health Center in Miami, FL. In that position, Gianna was responsible for the management and oversight of risk management programs (including environment of care, emergency management, and infection control) and the development and coordination of staff training on topics including regulatory compliance and Joint Commission accreditation requirements.
At CHCANYS, Gianna serves as the Program Manager for the Health Center Support Program and focuses both on Emergency Management and FQHC program compliance. She specializes in curriculum development, practice coaching and training / technical assistance delivery to New York’s community centers. Gianna holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Human Resource Development from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and obtained a certification in healthcare compliance in October 2012. Most recently, Gianna completed a certification program in Practice Facilitation from the University of Buffalo and became a certified trainer for CPI Prepare® Program. Gianna also continues to be on call and serve as PCEPN liaison to NYC EOC when activated.
