Update: DSRIP PPS Plan Application and Scoring Guide 
Public comments on the draft DSRIP PPS Plan Application and Scoring Guide were due to the NYS Department of Health on Wednesday, October 29. In addition to a preliminary summary of the key application components, CHCANYS has prepared a more detailed chart identifying important considerations for FQHCs. These documents will be updated periodically, so please check back often. The comments submitted by CHCANYS  on behalf of New York’s FQHCs may be viewed here
 

DSRIP Governance “How To” Guide and Webinar Released
Developing a successful PPS with multiple partners requires an effective governance structure and process to assure PPS stewardship, oversight and representation.  To assist, KPMG has developed  a  governance “How To” document and an associated webinar which provide an overview of key considerations when developing governance and three sample models intended to prompt thinking on the best approach for PPSs. read more >>

Public Hearings on Single Payer Health Coverage Bill Scheduled
A series of public hearings on New York Health, the universal "single payer" health coverage bill sponsored by Assembly Health Committee Chair Richard Gottfried and Senator Bill Perkins, will take place in the coming weeks. New York Health would replace current insurance company coverage, premiums, deductibles, co-pays, limited provider networks and out-of-network charges, providing comprehensive, universal health coverage for every New Yorker with a benefit package more comprehensive than commercial or other health plans. read more >>

Webinar: The New FQHC PPS Rate for Medicare - A Close Look at Medicare's New G Codes

The new open enrollment period for the NY State of Health Marketplace begins on November 15, 2014. Assistors across the state are gearing up to help uninsured consumers to enroll in health coverage and insured consumers to process their renewals. We will be updating our Outreach and Enrollment webpage with new information and resources as they become available, so please visit often!
