NYC Department of Health - STD Adolescent Intensive Course

Course Fee: $50

This course is designed for medical practitioners who provide direct care for adolescent patients. We invite physicians, nurses, advanced practice nurses, nurse practitioners, AND physicians’ assistants who work in New York and New Jersey to attend.

Day 1 covers clinical topics on the prevention, diagnosis and management of STDs.

Day 2 is devoted to working with adolescents in clinical settings, minors’ legal rights to reproductive health services, enhancing communication with adolescents, risk assessment, and health education and prevention strategies.
