The New York City STD Prevention Training Center and the New York City DOHMH are offering a free half-day symposium on congenital infections for clinical providers. Presentations will include a brief update on the Zika virus; the epidemiology of syphilis; a clinical review of syphilis in women and the prevention of congenital syphilis. Free Continuing Medical and Nursing Education credits will be provided. The symposium is designed for physicians, physician assistants, nurses and nurse practitioners; obstetricians, gynecologists and medical providers who care for pregnant women are highly encouraged to attend.
