The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) is presenting an awareness symposium to address the mental health needs of children during disasters.
Goals of this symposium include:
To enhance agency's ability to identify emotional needs and provide critical services for children during and after a disaster.
To gain awareness of the emotional needs of New York's children in the pre-event and acute phases following a disaster.
To gain clinical perspectives
