Are you interested in learning more about National Turnoff Week and how to help your community reduce screen time by organizing Turnoff Activities? Reducing screen time is a major tenet of the We Can!
program. And, we are pleased to be working with the organizers of
National Turnoff Week to bring to you an exciting opportunity to sign-up for free training sessions.
New York State Turnoff Week 2008 Organizer*s Kit Training sessions start
today, Monday, February 4th through Tuesday, February 26. There are
sixteen 2-hour training sessions scheduled in locations across the State, offered by the New York Department of Health-Obesity Prevention Division and the Center for SCREEN-TIME Awareness. These free training sessions are open to ALL New York residents. The free materials available from the New York State Department of Health include a CD-Rom of the Turnoff Week Organizer's Kit and 3 posters. We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about Turnoff and build it into your We Can! programming.
