Conference Objectives

Participants will:

• Understand how policy directs and influences strategies and interventions
• Become familiar with Long Island policies with regard to HIV/AIDS prevention and care
• Learn how to provide culturally appropriate care and services to diverse populations
• Raise awareness of and understand specific strategies and programs to address HIV/AIDS that have resulted from changes in policy
• Prepare to promulgate and optimize a Long Island regional response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic
