The 5th Philadelphia Prenatal Diagnosis & Obstetrics Update Conference
This three-day conference is aimed at improving health care for women by concentrating on three different areas of preconception and pregnancy care with each day having its own focal point. Current screening and testing recommendations as well as cutting edge technology and research will be presented throughout this three-day conference. Day One is geared toward obstetricians, fellows, residents, nurses, midwives, and other health care professionals as we discuss obstetrics complications and managements of common obstetrics and medical complications of pregnancy. Advancements in pregnancy and prenatal care management and in labor and delivery care, preterm labor, cancer in pregnancy, diabetes will also be touched upon for Day One. Day Two and Three will focus on updating obstetricians, perinatologists, family practitioners, midwives, genetic counselors, sonographers, nurses, fellows, and residents on the rapidly advancing fi elds of prenatal genetics, prenatal ultrasound and prenatal diagnosis. Lectures will focus on genetic screening and diagnostic testing updates as well as educating on basic and complicated fetal ultrasound techniques. The fetal system marathon will include review of fetal systems in their diagnosis by ultrasound, MRI and followed up by genetic counseling.
