The Community Health Care Association of New York State is pleased to present this year’s Annual Conference and Clinical Forum, CHCANYS18. Geared toward FQHC leadership, staff, and partners, the event will provide attendees with an opportunity to learn from industry experts and one another about current issues and initiatives impacting New York’s community health centers and to visit with more than 40 onsite sponsors and exhibitors.
FQHCs grew out of the civil rights movement and were established as part of President Lyndon Johnson’s “War on Poverty” more than 50 years ago. From the start, their mission has been to ensure access to high-quality, affordable health care for all. This year’s conference theme, "Creating Value from Our Values," references these beginnings, as well as the central role that community-based primary care providers play in the ongoing effort to transform New York’s health care delivery system to one based on value.
