National Health Center Week is celebrated in August each year to rally support for the Health Center Program by showcasing the many services provided by community, homeless, migrant and public housing health centers nationwide. It also provides us with a prime opportunity to celebrate our work and generate community pride. While there are countless reasons to honor health centers, among the most important and unique is their 50-year track record of providing access to affordable, high quality, cost effective health care to medically vulnerable and underserved people across New York State and the rest of the country.
