The Senior Accountant will report to the Accounting Director based in Ossining, NY. All Open Door Family Medical Centers are located in Westchester and Putnam counties located just North of New York City, which offer excellent schools, easy access to a multitude of outdoor activities, and superb transportation connections to New York City. 

Responsibilities 

• General Ledger: Performs General Ledger job functions, through trial balance; prepares standard/recurring monthly journal entries; enter journal entries, runs reports, performs account analysis & prepares audit work papers; reconciles inter-company accounts; create monthly revenue reports 

• Financial Analysis and Reporting: researches variances from budget in profit and loss statement; maintains various schedules for example pre-paid, accrual, occupancy, contracting, supplies, and lab. 

• Special Reports: quarterly preparation on profit and loss statements by line of business; responsible for preparation of all 340B related reports; support senior finance staff in preparing presentations to senior leadership; other reports as needed providing input on other initiatives and measurements and presenting key performance indicators of the organization 

• Budget: prepare worksheets and other analysis for annual budget preparation; responsible to annual upload of budget into the accounting system. 

• Audit: assist in preparation of annual audit schedules and periodic audits from Federal, State and Other Authorities

Requirements 

• Bachelors in Accounting 

• 4-5 years of relevant experience 

• CPA preferred 

• Dynamics SL /Solomon experience a plus 

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point 

• Strong Analytical Skills 

• Strong Communication Skills 

• Excellent Team Player 

• Strong Interpersonal Skills
