This position is responsible for overseeing and implementing project management skills and knowledge for assigned projects. Reporting to the Chief Planning and Development Officer, the Project Manager ensures that Morris Heights Health Center’s capital/construction projects and initiatives are executed judiciously and efficiently. The Project Manager will liaise with the Director of Facilities, Director of Grants and internal project leads to coordinate and track project activities including budgets, advising the project team on actions that will ensure successful completion. The Project Manager is tasked with keeping the project on-time and within scope and budget. Regular status and trend reports are prepared and delivered to the CPDO at appropriate intervals.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
With guidance from the Chief Planning and Development Officer, develop plan construction project plans
Collaborating with the CDPO and the Director of Facilities prepare contracts and take an active role in negotiating revisions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors
Ensure the timely completion of capital construction projects by developing a construction plan, scope of work and timeline that identifies milestones in project completion
Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations
Oversee and monitor construction and project expenditures to ensure project remains on budget and prevent delays in payment for materials and services
Ensure resource availability and allocation
Visit construction/project site frequently and oversee the work being done by the project team and evaluate completion of tasks and provide feedback to appropriate stakeholders
Report any delays, changes to the project scope, changes in project schedule and project costs, inclement weather or emergencies at construction site to the CPDO. Investigate damage, accidents, or delays at construction site(s) to ensure that proper procedures are being carried out
Provide assistance and follow-through on necessary permits and licenses
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
Review, verify and validate project invoices, change orders, and/or statements for payment/reimbursement
Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
Successfully manage the relationship with all stakeholders
Perform risk management to minimize project risks
Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Interface and coordinates with Information Technology and Clinical Informatics for appropriate project-related metrics baselines and tracking project progress.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors’ Degree required. Bachelors’ Degree in Construction Management preferred.
3-5 years of project management/construction management experience, preferably within the healthcare field.
PMP certification desired
Strong command of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
Knowledge of MS Project desired
Strong sense of teamwork

Detailed-oriented, strong follow-through skills, ability to take initiative, prioritize tasks, and work independently
Demonstrate analytical ability, with attention to detail and systems aptitude
Strong organizational skills are required
