Due to the rapid growth and development of the mental health division, Morris Heights Health Center is seeking Bilingual (English/Spanish) Social Workers to provide evaluation, psychotherapy and case management services to patients and families in our outpatient clinics (Article 28 and Article 31)

Medical Social Worker –Article 28

The Medical Social Worker provides assessments, evaluations, treatment planning, short term- psychotherapy and social services to individuals, couples, families and groups as clinically determined. The Medical Social Worker participates in clinical staff development, supervision and performance improvement activities as a member of an interdisciplinary team within a primary care medical setting. Most importantly, a Medical Social Worker is a patient advocate and makes every effort to assure that the best interests of the patients are being met.

Psychotherapist – Article 31

The Psychotherapist provides evaluation and treatment to assigned patients and documents all evaluations in a timely manner in accordance with MHHC’s Principles of Practice and Quality Assurance protocols. Completes mental status/risk assessments and conducts individual, family, and group psychotherapy that is focused and goal oriented; conducts crisis counseling as requested or needed

REQUIREMENTS:

The position requires NYS Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW) with knowledge of diagnosis and treatment of patients with mental, emotional and behavioral disorders. Should have at least one year of post Master’s clinical experience.
