The Supervising Physician is a part-time position with supervisory, clinical and administrative responsibilities in a busy, dynamic and expanding School Health Program in the Bronx. Our school based program encompasses 20 public schools throughout the Bronx, where high quality health care is delivered to students in elementary, middle and high schools. Each clinic is staffed with a full time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, along with a full time Social Worker and Medical Assistant and various other part time support staff, such as Health Educators and Administrative assistants. The Supervising Physicians collaborate with the school providers and ensure that a high standard of care is maintained at all sites. Our School Based Health Program is offering or developing a number of innovative projects in the schools such as a Long Acting Reversible Contraception Program, CAP-PC*, Obesity Program, SBIRT (substance abuse), and a pediatric dental program. You will be a member of a team of six physicians who collaborate on clinical supervision, education, training and special projects

SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and energetic doctor with a clinical background in pediatrics, adolescent medicine, or family practice. Good interpersonal skills are needed as you’ll be working in a supervisory capacity and interacting with Board of Education and Department of Health officials.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

-A degree from an approved medical college

-Internship and residency training from an approved medical facility.

-Two or more years of clinical experience in pediatrics, adolescent medicine or family medicine.

-Board certified or board eligible by specialty board.
