An agreement has been reached on the New York State FY2014-15 Budget, and all bills have been printed. It is expected that the Legislature will vote on the bills today.
CHCANYS will post a detailed budget summary as soon as it becomes available. In the meantime, we are pleased to report that all of this year’s Advocacy Day “asks” will be included in the final version of the budget, including:
level funding of $54.4 million for the Uncompensated Care Pool;
language authorizing the implementation of a Basic Health Plan;
capital funding in the amount of $1.2 billion;
level funding of $430,000 for the Migrant and Seasonal Health Care programs;
increased funding for the Doctors Across New York program;
language eliminating the Primary Care Service Corps competitive procurement process; and
an extension of the School Based Health Center Medicaid carve-out until July 1, 2015.
Again, we will release more detailed information about the budget as soon as it has been passed and the information is available.
