On January 27th, Governor Cuomo announced the release of an additional $56 million in Vital Access/Safety Net Provider (VAP) Program awards, designed to support health care services for New York State’s fragile, elderly, and low-income populations. This final round of VAP funding for FY 2013-14 brings the program total to $157 million and will be used to expand access to high quality health care in underserved communities across the state.
