New York State is seeking $10 billion in federal Medicaid funds over five years through the MRT Waiver to support health system changes recommended by Governor Cuomo’s Medicaid Redesign Team (MRT). We applaud the Governor and NYS Department of Health for developing a framework that recognizes the importance of primary care to a more integrated and patient-centered health system capable of achieving the “Triple Aim” of better health, better care, and lower costs.
The Community Health Care Association of New York State (CHCANYS) and The Primary Care Development Corporation (PCDC) have developed several MRT Waiver proposals that are essential to building sustainable primary care in New York State. Please express your support for significant investment in community-based primary and preventive care in order to truly transform New York State's health system.
