Charles B. Wang Community Health Center Hosts Launch of New York State’s Prevention Agenda
New York State Health Commissioner Nirav R. Shah, M.D., M.P.H. was joined by New York City Health Commissioner Thomas Farley, M.D., M.P.H., and representatives from leading healthcare and community organizations to discuss the statewide, five-year plan to improve the health of New Yorkers.
The Prevention Agenda identified key priorities in the statewide plan of action - Prevent Chronic Disease, Promote Healthy and Safe Environments, Promote Healthy Women, Infants and Children, Promote Mental Health and Prevent Substance Abuse, and Prevent HIV, STDs, Vaccine Preventable Diseases, and Healthcare-Associated Infections. CHCANYS is happy to join the many partners in the effort of moving this agenda forward within FQHCs.
