On November 6, 2014, HRSA Administrator Mary K. Wakefield, Ph.D., R.N announced $51.3 million in Affordable Care Act funding to support 210 health centers in 47 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico in establishing or expanding behavioral health services for nearly 440,000 people nationwide. Thirteen New York health centers will receive a total of $3,210,125 of this funding, enabling them to improve access and care for individuals in need of mental health care and substance abuse treatment.
