On July 8, 2014, U.S. Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Sylvia Matthews Burwell announced the availability of $100 million in New Access Point (NAP) funds under the Affordable Care Act to support the establishment of an estimated 150 new health center sites across the country during FY 2015.
To date, New York has received $370,974,670 in Affordable Care Act funding for health center services and construction, including support for 29 new health centers across the state. The funding opportunity announced yesterday will make it possible for New York to further expand access to high-quality primary care in communities where it is most needed.
