CHCANYS is pleased to announce that Diane Ferran, M.D., M.P.H. has joined CHCANYS as Senior Director of Clinical Quality Improvement. Diane will be responsible for formulating the strategic direction of the Clinical QI program; identifying and developing new programmatic and funding opportunities and partnerships for health centers and CHCANYS; consulting with clinicians and other leadership staff in our health centers and external partners in determining priorities for training, technical assistance and advocacy; and providing clinical guidance for all of CHCANYS programs.
As a pediatrician and faculty member at Columbia University Medical Center, Diane worked at Harlem Hospital, through Columbia’s professional staffing affiliation agreement, beginning in 2002. Starting in 2007, she directed the Pediatric Residency Program. As a member of senior departmental leadership, Diane has engaged in strategic planning and execution of key projects in clinical performance improvement and patient safety; Patient-Centered Medical Home Recognition (NCQA Level 3); and full accreditation of the Pediatric Residency Program. She has a passionate commitment to the care of the underserved and is eager to participate in our policy and advocacy initiatives at all governmental levels.
