On December 3, 2013, Governor Cuomo announced $46 million in Vital Access / Safety Net Provider Program (VAP) awards, which will support projects by 37 facilities across the New York State, including 11 community health centers, that were selected as a result of the critical role they play in providing services to New York’s most vulnerable populations. The funds will be used primarily to achieve defined financial, operational and quality improvement goals related to the integration or reconfiguration of services offered by these facilities.
