Due to the inability of the Senate and the House to agree upon the terms of the Continuing Resolution necessary to maintain funding, the U.S. federal government has been shut down since midnight on Monday, September 30. At this time, it is unclear how long the shutdown will last. CHCANYS recommends checking the following links regularly for additional information:
Click here to access NACHC’s Health Centers on the Hill blog, which features federal updates specific to health centers.
Click here for information on the Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) contingency plan for agency operations during a government shutdown.
Click here to visit the USA.gov Government Shutdown page.
Again, we recommend that you revisit these links frequently for the most current information, as they are being updated often.
Any health centers experiencing a grave threat to their immediate operations as a result of the government shutdown and resulting payment delays should contact Julie Schmidt, Associate Vice President of NACHC’s Training and Technical Assistance Department, at jschmidt@nachc.com.
