On September 13, Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius announced awards totaling over $1 million to two New York FQHCs – Hudson River HealthCare and Lutheran Family Health Services – to fund new health service delivery sites. A total of $19.5 million in New Access Point (NAP) grants was awarded across the United States in the form of 32 awards. The new sites established with these funds will increase access to preventive and primary health care to more than 130,000 additional people. Please join CHCANYS in congratulating the awardees.
HHS also announced the availability of $48 million in health center base grant adjustments, which will support ongoing operations and quality improvement activities.
