On Wednesday June 26, City Council Members voted on a budget negotiation which included the reinstatement of $775,000 in city funds for four school-based health centers that were slated for cuts in Mayor Bloomberg’s Executive Budget, released last month. These four centers - Roosevelt High School (Bronx), Franklin K. Lane High School (Brooklyn), George W. Wingate High School (Brooklyn), and The Percy Sutton Educational Campus (Harlem/Manhattan), serve over 8,000 students and provide comprehensive health services, including complete physical exams, immunizations, acute care, laboratory tests, reproductive health and mental health services, and dental care.
