CHCANYS Awarded HRSA Health Center Controlled Network Grant CHCANYS is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a 3-year HRSA grant to create the New York Statewide Health Center Controlled Network (NYS-HCCN). Thirty-three FQHCs throughout the State joined CHCANYS in this application which provides funding for technical assistance in implementation and use of EHRs, including Meaningful Use, Quality Improvement and Patient Centered Medical Home. CHCANYS’ Center for Primary Care Informatics (CPCI) will play a central role in the network’s efforts.
Of 37 awards nationwide, CHCANYS’ was the third largest overall and the second largest to a Primary Care Association.
Technical assistance will be tailored to each health center’s needs and will draw on product-specific EHR expertise via subcontracts with colleagues around the country. eClinicalWorks expertise will be provided by the Health Center Network of New York, a network of 8 upstate health centers previously founded by CHCANYS.
