New York State Health Foundation Invites Letters of Intent for Insurance Outreach and Enrollment Grants
The New York State Health Foundation has released a Request for Information (RFI) in order to fund organizations that provide direct assistance to uninsured individuals who will be eligible for either Medicaid or subsidized private plans on the Exchange and help them to enroll in insurance coverage. New York City Council Passes New Bills with Focus on Planning for Future Storms
New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg recently signed nine bills that will increase the city’s preparedness and improve its response to future storms.  Some of these bills call on the New York City Office of Emergency Management to work with partner agencies to develop plans to organize relief operations following a severe weather event; track people who have special medical needs in the city’s shelter system; assist vulnerable and homebound persons following a severe weather event; and ensure access to food, water and fuel. read more >>
