HEAL RFA Update: Deadline Extended to February 10, 2012 The New York State Department of Health (DOH) has extended the deadline for the current HEAL Request for Applications (RFA) entitled Restructuring Initiatives in Medicaid Redesign. The deadline has been extended to 3:00 PM on Friday, February 10, 2012. For additional information on this RFA for $450 million in HEAL grant dollars, please click here.
Do Not Miss the January 31, 2012 Deadline for the 2010 AHCF Cost Report! The NYS Department of Health (DOH) hosted a webinar on the 2010 AHCF Cost Report on December 2, 2011 (see below for link). There are some new additions and instructions in the 2010 version of the report, which DOH has further clarified in the Q&A document below. To assist FQHCs in completing the 2010 AHFC Cost Report by the deadline, CHCANYS hosted a webinar on Friday, January 6th with Peter Epp and Gil Bernhard, Managing Directors at J.H. Cohn LLP. The webinar reviewed the additional guidance provided by DOH in the new sections of 2010 AHCF cost report, including how to account for threshold visits, net patient revenue, costs and adjustments. Discussion included the key changes affecting FQHCs and the importance of prompt submission of the report.

UDS Tips – February 15, 2012 Submission Deadline Health Center Uniform Data System (UDS) reports are due by February 15, 2012. Upon successful submission, you will have an opportunity to work with a UDS reviewer to finalize and submit your final report by March 31, 2012, after which time no changes to the UDS report will be permitted. CHCANYS has posted additional materials to assist FQHCs and FQHC Look-Alikes in their preparation of the UDS report. To access them, please click here.
