Suzanne Rossel, MS

Ms. Rossel joined the Community Health Care Association of New York State (CHCANYS), in May 2013.  In her position as Senior Vice President,Health Center Support, Suzanne is responsible for developing and expanding CHCANYS’ training and technical support programs and services to support New York’s health centers.

Suzanne brings over 25 years experience working with health centers, which began in Austin Texas where she worked for the State Department of Health and the Texas Association of Community Health Centers, as the Director of Research and Planning.  Following her return to her home state, New York, she continued working with health centers first as a consultant with KPMG Peat Marwick and then as an independent consultant.   During this time, Suzanne was involved in the development and implementation of national initiatives funded by Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) and managed by the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC).  These projects included the development of tools and processes to support primary care associations and FQHCs to assess market trends and strategic responses and to implement state-level FQHC growth and expansion planning.  Suzanne also provided trainings and support across the country including FQHC-grant development, 330 requirements, strategic planning, and board education.

Suzanne received a Masters of Science in Community and Regional Planning from the University of Texas at Austin.
