New York State Medicaid Waiver Update New! April 25, 2014 The New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) hosted 5 public hearings throughout the state this month to present its plan for its Medicaid 1115 Waiver, including the specifics of the Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) plan. A Lake Placid hearing has just been added to the schedule. Pre-registration is not required. Governor Cuomo Announces Final Approval of $8 Billion MRT Waiver to Transform New York’s Health Care System
Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced that New York has finalized terms and conditions with the federal government for the Medicaid 1115 waiver that will allow the state to reinvest $8 billion in federal savings generated by Medicaid Redesign Team (MRT) reforms. The MRT waiver amendment’s primary goal is to transform the state's health care system, bend the Medicaid cost curve, and ensure access to high quality care for all Medicaid members.
