QUALITY IMPROVEMENT

Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP): Expanding the HIV Prevention Toolkit.

 

Antonio E. Urbina, MD, Demetre Daskalakis, MD,  Jeffrey Kwong, DNP, and Damon L. Jacobs, LMFT will present at a conference titled, “Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP):  Expanding the HIV Prevention Toolkit.” This program is sponsored by the New York State Department of Health Clinical Education Initiative and the Spencer Cox Center for Health/Mt. Sinai Institute for Advanced Medicine.  

This ½ day conference is for Physicians, Nurses, Advanced Practice Nurses, Physician Assistants, Oral Health Providers, and Pharmacists throughout New York. The presenters will focus on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines for PrEP, the New York State Department of Health PrEP guidance, patients who may benefit from PrEP, challenges in managing patients in various settings, as well as organizational and psychosocial considerations for providing PrEP.

  • A meal will be provided.
  • Registration is required. Space is limited.
  • Under review for continuing education credits.
