State Health Workforce Data Collection: Findings from a National Survey of States

As the impacts of health reform are felt across the country, states are recognizing the importance of having timely, objective, and comprehensive data on their health workforce to inform decision-making. This presentation will describe findings from a survey of states being conducted by HWTAC on health workforce data collection and analysis efforts and review some of the issues and challenges states face in developing and maintaining health workforce data collection systems.
