Important Resources for Primary Care Centers in an Emergency
This course will identify and explain external resources that can be utilized by Primary Care Centers to help them manage an emergency. Guest speakers will be invited to explain the Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) and how medical volunteers can be requested and used in emergency operation. Direct Relief USA will be invited to explain their programs which provide emergency supplies to health centers.
Course Objectives:
- Learn how to request MRC volunteers
- Learn about what resources are available to both planning for disasters and what resources can assist you during a disaster
- Learn how MRC volunteers can be utilized
- Learn how to request diret relief support prior to a disaster
